Whether it’s endless enduro single trails or full gas downhill, this hidden corner of Switzerland has everything a mountain biker could want.
Verbier is well known for it’s winter freeride scene and has a big reputation as an extreme destination, but what is not as commonly known is the quality of the biking in the summer. Verbier has hosted everything from world class cross country events, like the Grand Raid, through to the Swiss Enduro Cup and the nail biting IXS Downhill Cup. All of these world class biking events might make you think that Verbier gets crowded in the summer, however, it remains Switzerland’s best kept mountain biking secret. You can attack many stunning trails, be it the 8 downhill tracks or the 213km of enduro trails that wind their way around the amazing scenery of the Val Des Bagnes. If you’d prefer to stretch the legs and have less of a white knuckled ride, there are also over 500kms of cross country trails that should keep you busy for a while…
Mountain Air will post a weekly trail to help you find your way around one of the largest lift-accessed biking areas in the alps, especially as there are new trails opening every year. This year there is the new flowy blue trail called “Chotatai”. Follow our Facebook page to see all the best trails that Verbier has to offer.
