The sun is shining and trails are re-appearing from the snow, you might find a little snow at the top of these trails but you will find it dusty lower down! The fields are becoming greener by the day and contrast beautifully against the snowy peaks behind you. So where to ride?

You can warm up with a lap down from (9)Patier to Chable, get the legs pumping. This route starts out down a beautiful alpage, winding between 18th century chalets and pine forests. Then it hits the old “road” up from le chable. It’s a stone lined track where they brought the cows up in spring, to the high pastures.

Jump back on the lift, start out heading down past Fer a cheval (the pub) and join the route de soleil, traverse this around taking in the spectacular views of the Grand Combin. Before dropping into 4b, this starts out technical but feels like you are on a Mediterranean island. The smell of pine sap in your nose and the sun on your back you twist and turn down towards the valley bottom with impressive views along the way. Before joining the track and meandering through the village to join the lift again!

4a starts from past the shop, a technical single trail that really makes the most of the forest, every now and then a gap appearing in the trees to reveal the awesome decent you are about to ride back to the valley bottom. It’s tight, rolling, steep and at times flowy meaning you really get a bit of everything before joining the trail 4B.

For trail 5, Once you make your way back on to the route des soleil, this time follow it round to the other end and take the trail to Sarreyer. This super pretty little village on the sunny side, has a great little café so you can stop and take a well-earned break. Then run this one back down to Le chable jumping between green fields and small woods, on a great flowy piece of single trail.

Last one if you have the legs is number 10 – this trail also knows as Jackass is not for the feint hearted. It’s up there as one of Verbier’s more technical descents. With over 15 tight switch backs, it will test your nerve at the top and then reward you with a great fast section back down to the village of Volleges.

Between these amazing rides you have some incredible variety and world class descents, all from one lift.

If you need help with the routes just come and ask one of our staff, they all loves these rides and will be happy to help you find the way. If not, we can arrange you a guide from here in the shop as well of course as all your biking requirements. From rental bikes and protection to servicing and spare parts.
