17.04.2026 Patrouille des Jeunes 2026

The Patrouille des Jeunes in Verbier: a ski mountaineering race for 10-20 year olds! Three varied courses for all levels, in teams of two, with fun, adrenaline, and team spirit guaranteed on April 17, 2026, in the Verbier 4Vallées ski area!
Want to enjoy an unforgettable sporting experience in the mountains? The Youth Patrol is the ideal ski mountaineering race for 10-20 year olds, offering challenge, fun, and team spirit in an exceptional natural setting.

Adapted to each level, the courses run between Les Ruinettes, La Chaux, and the foot of the legendary Bec des Rosses, offering young athletes a unique sporting experience in the Verbier 4Vallées ski area. The race is contested in teams of two, in mixed, female, or male categories, and the year of birth of the oldest participant determines the course to be covered:

- Long course (U18: 2008-2009 / U20: 2006-2007): Elevation gain 800 m / Elevation loss 1,466 m
- Short course (U16: 2010-2016): Elevation gain 620 m / Elevation loss 1,286 m
- Discovery course (2006-2016): Elevation gain 280 m / Elevation loss 940 m

Once again this year, the PDJ is the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) Youth Team Championship.

To prepare, young people can take advantage of several events during the winter: Kids Pellissier Sport outings, Grand Prix Pellissier Sport Kids, Swiss/Youth Skimo Cup, or Saturday training sessions with Mountain Performance in the Verbier 4Vallées area. In addition, partner sports stores offer discounted rates for equipment rental.

13-19.04.2026 Patrouille des Glaciers

The Patrouille des Glaciers is the world's largest ski mountaineering race and the major event in this rapidly growing discipline. It connects Zermatt to Verbier over a distance of 57.5 km.
The PdG is not a race for casual athletes. The route from Zermatt to Verbier requires specific and meticulous preparation, both mentally and physically. The quality of the organization is also a real calling card for the Swiss Army.

This unique race is characterized by the length and altitude of the course profile as well as the demands of the alpine environment. The PdG can boast of being the race of all superlatives with 4,386 m of elevation gain over 57.5 km of high mountain terrain on the Z course, culminating at Tête Blanche at an altitude of 3,650 m.

The PdG and its partner Swisscom are pleased to announce the launch of a new web app for the 2026 edition, which raises the bar! Simply download it to your smartphone to be at the heart of the action. Whether you are participating yourself or following the performances of your loved ones, it provides all the information live, on all devices, without downloading, with access at any time with a simple click on live.pdg.ch.
