Sunday 5th October Closing of Camille Llobet's exhibition ‘Glacier noir’

To mark the end of the ‘Glacier Noir’ exhibition, the Bagnes Museum invites you to a drinks reception on the crest of the Mauvoisin Dam in the presence of artist Camille Llobet and curator Jean-Paul Felley.
Through thirty large-format photographs displayed along the crest of the Mauvoisin dam, French artist Camille Llobet explores the moraines of the Mer de Glace, piles of rocky debris left behind by the retreating glacier. Through frames that are sometimes macroscopic, sometimes panoramic, she reveals a mineral landscape with striking materials and shapes, punctuated by rare silhouettes or vegetation. The eye follows the strata and sandy walls of this breach deserted by ice.

From 2.30 pm, speeches by:

Mélanie Hugon-Duc, director of the Bagnes Museum
Jean-Paul Fellay, curator and director of EDHEA
Camille Llobet, artist

Followed by a drink.

Saturday, 11 October 30 years of the Bagnes Library

A programme for young and old alike, filled with poetry, discoveries and games!

On the programme:

10 a.m., family show (secondary school gym) by the Cie du Bord theatre company, ‘Impro livre-moi tes histoires’ (from 5 years old). Do you know all the secrets in your picture books? Bring them with you, leave them on stage and let actor Fausto Borghini reveal their hidden stories. A captivating and interactive show that takes you on a fantastic journey.

10 a.m., concert (ages 15 and up) (Le Châble library) in collaboration with the Cellules poétiques du LuniDuo. Lucie Göckel and Lenni Torgue form an intimate duo that blends French poetry and cello in a soft and light harmony. This will also be an opportunity for us to present the exhibition created to mark this anniversary: From books to seeds, 30 years of history of the Bagnes Library.

From 18 to 25 October Autumn at La Comba

Enjoy games at La Comba for fun all week long!
Summer is over, winter is on its way... So what shall we do? Let's meet up at La Comba!

From 10 October to 1 November Que d'os que d'os

A small rural village, Fougace-les-Vignes lived peacefully, like sheep grazing in the meadows, until the municipality hit a snag, and what a snag!
Not only did the village doctor decide to leave, but the Afgra planned to bury radioactive waste in its subsoil. There was no time to lose. The mayor and his iconic residents had to gather in person at Sissi's mini-market and fight to save the village from ruin.

If you don't want to be left out in the cold, book your tickets as soon as possible and come and discover the Fougaciens on stage...

Play written by Bernard Lenne, directed by Géraldine Vaudan and performed by the Atelier Théâtre de Bagnes theatre company.

Bookings open on Tuesday 16 September.
